KNOWLE PARK, KIRKLEES - DEC 2011

Location: Knowle Park, Knowle Road, Mirfield, WF14 9RA

Knowle Park is designed around a triangular shape to fit the site. Both street and transition features make for a very diverse little park with the triangular shape providing a quirky little grass gap. The bowl has a mini ramp section with pump pockets and a mellow hip. Just to the right of the bowl is a hipped quarter pipe with extension that leads into the street course. The symmetrical raised platform with floating hubba ledges and a small stair set with handrail on both sides allows users to session both frontside and backside. This flows on to a flatbank hip leading down the other side of the triangular shape, this stretch accommodates a nice flat ground area with a flat ledge/manual pad.
